Upcoming Activities
A few things from this week:
First Comfort Promise Graduate
First Comfort Promise Graduate
Comfort Promise is an Optional Flexible School Day Program (OFSDP) which allows districts to provide flexible hours and days. The goal of the program is to improve graduation rates for students who are in danger of dropping out of school, have dropped out, or are behind in core subject courses.

Sydney Fischer is our first graduate from Comfort Promise!


Region Band Participants
Region Band Auditions
On December 7th the following students participated in the annual Region 29/32 Band auditions at Fredericksburg High School:

Elizabeth Mulliniks, Abigail Mulliniks, Mauricio Guia, Cassandra Alt, Rhett Pankratz, Ethan Neri, Isaiah Thompson, Izekiel Valero and Eden Bates.

Of those trying out the following made the 2024 - 2025 region band and will be advancing to area auditions next month.

Abigail Mulliniks (percussion), Mauricio Guia and Cassandra Alt (french horn), Rhett Pankratz and Izaiah Thompson (tuba), and Ethan Neri (trumpet). These students will audition next month for a chance to make a seat in the All-State Band which will perform at the Texas Music Educators Convention in San Antonio this February. 
 
Spotlight
Students Pictures Completed their First College Course
The students pictured completed their first college-level course. A Contemporary Math Class from McMurry University. They have now reached the status of CCMR because of this.

Fine Arts
Jasmin Rameriez won 3rd place at the San Antonio Western Art Contest in the acrylic art section.
Foundation Presenting the Bicycles
Believe it Foundation
William McGinnis, Program Director for the Believe It Foundation, has again generously donated adaptive bicycles to the Hill Country Special Education Co-op for us to share with CISD students with special needs. "Andrew McAllister founded the Believe It Foundation in 2008 to enrich the lives of physically challenged children by fostering inclusion in shared experiences with their peers who do not face the same limitations."
